    Joseph Knipe Signed Carte de Visite. 2.5" x 4", a standing portrait in uniform, with a Giers & Co., Nashville, Tennessee backstamp on verso. Signed on verso: "yours truly Jos: T. Knipe Brig Genl Vols."

    Joseph Farmer Knipe (1823-1901) was Colonel of the 46th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He fought at Cedar Mountain (wounded), Gettysburg, Nashville and the Atlanta Campaign.

    Condition: Toning throughout, with minor foxing. Bumping to corners. Slight discolorations at the photograph's edges.
