    Bust portrait signed on the front in ink script "Yours truly, / William H. Egle / Surgeon 116 U. S. C. I." Green revenue stamp on verso with backmark of D. C. Burnite & Co. / Harrisburg, Pa.; Horizontal view of log hut with huge Corps badge on the gable end with two black and two white soldiers in front. Period ink ID on front at bottom "Servt." under each of the black men and "Surgeon; Asst Surg." Under the two white soldiers. Written in period ink script on the verso "Compliments of / William H. Egle / Surgeon 116 U. S. C. I. / In the field before Richmond, Va., Winter of 1864-65." Great set of cartes.
