Wears frock coat with very large captain's shoulder straps. Bullion infantry horn on front of forage cap with number. Sword belt with M1850 foot officer's sword and sash. Dark seam welt on trousers. No backmark; Brady, New York full standing portrait of artillery officer. Shell jacket with shoulder straps open exposing vest. Sword belt with non-reg sword and knot. Slouch hat with embroidered crossed cannons with "7" in the center. Brady logo on front and back; Full-standing infantry officer in casual pose. Frock coat with shoulder straps. Holds slouch hat with side turned up with embroidered Hardee hat eagle and embroidered infantry insignia on front. Sword belt and sash with high grade M1850 foot officer's sword with engraved and scalloped edge mounts. Wears unusual canvas and leather shoes. Backmark of B. P. Paige, Plumbe Gallery, Washington, D. C.; Full-length standing view of chaplain. Wears frock coat with cloth covered buttons, slouch hat on the chair at his side. Period ink inscription on verso, "Mrs. Race with the respects of Tho. G. Murphy late Chap. 1st Del. Vet. Vols." Backmark of Garrett's, Wilmington, Del. with revenue stamp; Full-standing view of officer with wire rim spectacles. Frock coat with shoulder straps. White gloves and holding McDowell kepi. Sword belt, sash and cavalry officer's saber. Period ink script ID on front of mount, "Capt. Avon Puttkammer of the Havelock Fl. Artillery"; Absolutely superb quality full-length standing view of a Civil War Naval officer. Frock coat with medal on left breast, open exposing white vest. Holds hat at his side. Mount blind stamped "S. Sorenson". All images fine or better although the portrait of Capt. Puttkammer has a couple of chips. Very nice group including some rare images.
