    Group of Seven Cartes de Visites of Officers of the 11th New Jersey Inf. Group includes the following: bust portrait of Lt. George Savidge. No backmark, signed on back. Lt. Titus berry Jr., wearing fatigue blouse with velvet collar. By Stoutenburgh, Newark, N. J. Slightly trimmed at the top where it is signed; bust portrait of Lt. William S. Rockhill. Wears coat with velvet collar. By Allen & Brown of Trenton, N. J. and signed by Rockhill on reverse; bust portrait of Lt. William J. Mount. Backmark of "Mrs. Monroe's / Gall;ery of Art / 421 Canal St. / N. Y.". Mount was dismissed form the service on 5/6/64; bust portrait of Lt. Alexander Beach. Backmark of New York photographer and signed on the front. Interestingly Beach.
    Interestingly Beach was commissioned Captain on July 3, 1863, apparently to replace one of the officers lost at Gettysburg on July 2; full length standing view of Lt. Henry Tilton, by R. Knecht, Easton, Pa. and signed by Tilton. Wears kepi, frock coat with shoulder straps, sword belt with over the shoulder sling and foot officer's sword. Trousers tucked in to his boots; Lt. Charles A. Oliver by D. C. Clark, New Brunswick, N. J. and signed by Oliver on the back. Wears kepi with quatrefoil, interestingly a five button fatigue blouse with shoulder straps and foot officer's sword in steel scabbard suspended from sword belt. All in fine condition and an extremely nice ID'd group.
