    George Armstrong Custer Carte de Visite. Measuring 2.5" x 3.75", Custer is seen in this Mathew Brady photograph seated, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and uniform. Backstamp of E. & H.T. Anthony on the verso. From a photographic negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Two cent revenue stamp affixed to the verso. According to Custer in Photographs, this image, labeled K58, was taken sometime around January 4, 1865. Slight toning around the edges of the mount.
