Frederick Hill Meserve: The Photographs of Abraham Lincoln. Fine copy of Meserve's work, "The Photographs of Abraham Lincoln", privately printed in New York in 1911. There are 74 pages of text plus tipped-in silver print photographs struck from the original negatives in the Meserve Collection. The photographs are arranged by topic: The Photographs of Abraham Lincoln (100), Lincoln at Gettysburg (3), Mrs. Lincoln and the Sons (4), Photographs of the Vice-Presidents, the Speakers, Members of the Cabinet and others (12), and The Interment of Lincoln (1). Printed on deckle-edge thick paper stock, bound in textured paper over boards. Corners ever so slightly bumped. Light wear to extremities of spine. Housed in deluxe custom clam-shell box with gilt-stamped leather spine (minor abrasions). Contents are excellent. A superb collection of images covering the span of Lincoln's career. From the collection of Dr. Michael Krane.
