Frederick Douglass Carte de Visite.2.5" x 4"
No place; circa 1874
Printed on verso "Under the Superintendence of Mr. S.B. Heald" and with a label reading "Fredk Douglass Colored Lecturer 1874". This image was taken twenty-one years before the abolitionist's death. Stamped on verso "Henry Y. Porter", with "Fred Douglass 1817-1895 Negro writer" written in an unknown hand.
Condition: A small amount of paper loss at upper left corner. Minor soiling and browning, else good.
