    Confederate Major General John Bankhead Magruder Two Cartes de Visite. (1) CDV of the general posed standing in a full-dress Union uniform with sword, measuring approximately 2.5" x 4" with a Charles D. Fredricks, New York studio mark on the verso. A bit of age toning to the image, else in very good condition. (2) CDV of Magruder seated, in civilian clothing, measuring approximately 2.5" x 4" with an E. Anthony, New York studio mark on the verso. A bright, clear image in excellent condition. John B. Magruder (1807-1871) was an 1830 graduate of West Point. He served in the Second Seminole War, Mexican-American War and in several engagements during the Civil War, most notably the Battle of Galveston.
