Confederate Brigadier General Richard Brooke Garnett: Killed in Action During Pickett's Charge Carte de Visite. Approximately 2.5" x 4", no backmark. A nice bust portrait of Garnett in uniform with a printed caption along the lower edge "Gen. Garnett, C.S.A.". Garnett (1817-1863) was an 1841 graduate of West Point. He entered Confederate service on the outbreak of the war and was present at Antietam and Fredericksburg among others. Garnett was killed at Gettysburg during Pickett's Charge on July 3, 1863. Light age toning and a few scattered spots not affecting the general's image, otherwise a clear, sharp view in very good condition.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
