    Confederate Brigadier General Eppa Hunton: Carte de Visite and Wartime Clipped Signature "Eppa Hunton / Brig Genl". The image measures approximately 2.5" x 4" and bears no studio marks and features Hunton in uniform. The clipped signature measures 3.5" x 1.75", dated April 22, 1864, signed by General Hunton at Chaffin's Farm, Virginia. Eppa Hunton (1822-1908) participated in the First Battle of Bull Run and was wounded at Gettysburg during Pickett's Charge. The image is faded with some toning to the photograph and mount. The signature is likewise age toned, otherwise both specimens are in very good condition.
