    Civil War Union Cartes-de-visite: Identified Soldiers. Clean studio portrait, inscribed on verso "Yours truly/ Geo. O. Hirst". He served in Company C, New York 83rd Infantry and was wounded at Fredericksburg on December 13, 1862. Jordan & Company of New York back mark. 2) Clear studio portrait, inscribed on verso "Philo K. Taylor/ Comp. B 93rd N.Y. Vols/ Constantia Center/ Oswego Co., N.Y." R. W. Addis of Washington, D.C. back mark, minor ink stains upper right corner. 3) Studio portrait of soldier, inscribed on verso "Lieut Horton R. Platt/ 6th N.Y. Artillery". Platt was wounded at Spotsylvania Court House on May 19, 1864 and died two days later. J. H. Young [Baltimore] back back, vertical crease, moderate soiling. 4) Studio portrait of soldier signed on verso "Very truly yours/ H. C. Williams/ 61st N.Y.V." Williams served in Companies I & H which participated at the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House and Cold Harbor. Churchill & Denison of Albany back mark, trimmed close to image. 5) Vignette image of soldier, signed on verso "Yours truly/ Wm. A. Scofield/ 1st Lt. 137th N. Y. Vols./ 3d Brigade 2nd Div. 20 A.C." No back mark, a clean example.
