Boutwell received the MOH for gallantry displayed at Petersburg, rescuing a wounded comrade while under heavy fire from the enemy. H. O. Bly of Hanover, New Hampshire back mark, slight aging. 2) Studio portrait of standing soldier identified on verso as Enoch G. Adams, Company D 2nd Regiment Durham. Adams was wounded at Williamsburg and was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. A. Gregory of Portsmouth, New Hampshire back mark, slight fade, trimmed on three sides. 3) Seated portrait of man identified as George H. Taggard, Adjutant (New Hampshire 13th Infantry). Charles O. Andrews of Nashua back paper. Taggart was severely wounded at Cold Harbor on June 3, 1864.
