4 3/4" X 7 1/4" Unmounted Albumen View Of Andersonville Prison By A. J. Biddle. Signed by Handy on verso, negative #8222. It was this image that provided a critical clue to the background of the group, as visible at the bottom is "........ Act of Congress, in 1865, by A. J. Biddle, in office of Dist. Court of U.S. for South'n Dist. of N. Y." which was clearly printed on the bottom of the image from which this print was apparently copied. Additional pencil notation on verso "Andersonville Prison" and identified by collector as "Looking across the earliest graves in the prison cemetery; this is probably the southwestern section of section K of the modern cemetery. Overall excellent with just one small chip at lower left corner.
