    19th Century Carte de Visite Album Containing 20 Images. Leather album with embossed decorations and brass closures, 4.5" x 5.75". Housing approximately 20 images of politicians, statesmen and Union Generals. Includes: Hannibal Hamlin, Salmon Chase, Winfield Scott, Cassius Clay, Charles Francis Adams, John Dix, Robert Anderson, Nathaniel P. Banks, John Albion Andrew, Oliver Ellsworth, John Ellis Wool, Andrew Johnson, Henry E. Etheridge, William Seward, Wendell Philips, William Prescott, Edward Everett, and John Motley. At least ten of the images are by E.A. Anthony using Brady negatives.

    Condition: Heavy wear to the exterior of the album. A few of the pages have tears, resulting from the insertion and removal of the images. Mounts are untrimmed, and overall condition of the images is very good to excellent.
