    [Robert E. Lee]: Places and Buildings Associated with the General. 1) Bernard & Gibson/Brady CDV of "White House, Formerly residence of Mrs. Custis Washington, now the residence of Col. Lee". Dated May 17, 1862. The White House Plantation in Pamunkey River, Virginia was burned down in 1862, during the retreat from the Seven Days' Battle and again, one final time, in 1875. 2) Unmarked CDV of Mt. Vernon with scattered flyspecks. Very sharp and clear. 3) CDV of the President's Home at Washington College. M. Miley of Lexington back mark. This came from an album which had belonged to the G. W. "Custis" Lee family. Age toned with lateral crease that extends from top to bottom. 4) CDV of the President's home at Washington College. Miley of Lexington, Virginia back mark. Traveller's stable can be seen to the left rear corner of the house. The invalid Mrs. Lee enjoyed quiet afternoons on the front porch. This came from an album which had belonged to the G. W. "Custis" Lee family. 5) Anthony stereoview of the "Residence of Gen. Robert E. Lee, Franklin St., Richmond, Va." on orange mount. 6) Underwood & Underwood stereoview of "General Robert E. Lee's old home (N.W.) at Arlington, Va."
