    Carte de Visite Album of Approximately 60 Images. 8.5" x 6.25" embossed brown leather carte de visite album containing twenty-five gilt edges leaves contain images of Union officers, statesmen, Confederate officers, and other prominent Civil War figures. Included are likenesses of nationally known personalities: Abraham Lincoln, Secretary of War Edwin Stanton, Secretary of Treasury Salmon P. Chase, Ulysses S. Grant, William T. Sherman, George Meade, Winfield Scott Hancock, John Pope, William Rosecrans, Philip Sheridan, Daniel Sickles, Ambrose Burnside, Franz Siegel, Judge Wagner, Admiral Farragut, Mary Todd Lincoln, a young Robert E. Lee, Joseph E. Johnston, etc. Additionally there are a number of unidentified images.

    Condition: The leather cover is slightly worn with bumped corners. One of the metal side closures is missing. Some images have light foxing and toning. Overall good condition.
