    Lot of Two Outdoor Photographs of Spokane Indians ca 1880s The Spokane Indians are a Native American people in the northeastern part of the state of Washington in mostly in Stevens County. The city of Spokane gets its name, from them which literally means "children of the sun". Lewis and Clark on their trip west committed they lived in the vicinity of the Spokane River.

    These two great imperial size photographs of Spokane Indians taken by the photographer Bailey of Spokane, Washington illustrate how they lived in the area. First photograph depicts an Indian camp with many Teepees nestled in the forest. Second image is a close up of three Indians posing in front of there teepee, very nice outdoor photographs of this Indian habitat. Measures approximately 8.50" x 5.25"

    Condition: Fine, light foxing, light wear to corners, touch of light contrast.
