DescriptionLarge Format Photograph Texas Railroad Survey Team ca 1890. Period script ink identified and Texas-marked Survey crew photograph featuring seven members. A group of Mexicans can be seen behind them to the right, and two large transits are visible in the front. The men all wear hats and worn boots, their outdoor working gear. The photographer credit is stamped in purple ink on the reverse, "Thos. J. Cockrell - Laredo, Texas" who is listed in operation in about 1890; however this could be a slightly earlier photograph. Measures approximately 8" x 5".
