Captured here by noted San Francisco photographer Thomas Houseworth, this image is from a series of entertainer portraits produced under the name Houseworth's Celebrities. Houseworth is also known for his collaboration with George S. Lawrence to publish stereographic images of California and the West; Lawrence & Houseworth offered the largest collection of stereographs on the Pacific Coast.
