Description

Cabinet Card: Donald McKay Modoc War Scout, for the Government. An ad for Ka-Ton-Ka Medicinal Cure appears on verso along with a brief bio crediting McKay with bringing the cure to the white people. McKay was the leader of the Warm Springs Scouts who played an important roll in the Modoc War. Very fine with even toning. From the estate collection of E.F. Mueller.
