    Description

Buffalo Bill's Wild West: Trick Shooter Lillian Smith Cabinet Card. She joined the show in 1886 at age fifteen and was a rival of Annie Oakley; the two never got along very well. Oakley was gentle and ladylike while Smith was pushy, brassy, and quite the flirt. Smith performed poorly at Wimbledon in 1887 and left the Wild West in 1889. She would eventually turn up as a fictionalized Sioux princess, Wenona, with the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch show. This cabinet shows her in a near full-length pose holding her rifle, and bears an F. Forshew backmark (Hudson, NY). A light horizontal crease, otherwise very fine.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
