[Texas Rangers]. W. H. Putnam and Captain Phillips Cabinet Card, circa 1890s. 4.25" x 6.5". A standing studio portrait of Texas Rangers W. H. Putnam and Captain Phillips both proudly displaying Colt Single-Action Army revolvers and Winchester rifles. Specifically, Putnam holds a lever action Winchester Model 94 rifle and Phillips a Winchester Model 1873. Damage to corners and edge of card mount, not affecting the albumen. The Rangers are identified in pencil on the mount. At top, also in pencil, "(Creed Taylor Book) No 00". During this period (circa 1907) Hunter sold his manuscript on the life of Creed Taylor to James T. DeShields who later published it under the title, Tall Men with Long Rifles. Provenance: George Jackson Collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
