    Cabinet Card of Indians "Spotted Horse & Snake" (Sioux Warriors), ca. 1890s. Herrin, David C. Active in studios in Medford, The Dalles, Oregon, in 1895. Listed as Abell-Herrin Company in Portland, 1898. Active in Portland, 1898-1901. Later in his career had traveling galleries in Oregon and Washington.

    Photograph of "Spotted Horse & Snake" taken in Herrin's studio in east Portland, Oregon in the 1890s depicts two Sioux warriors in their garb, Spotted Horse appears to be wearing chaps, has a great cowboy hat on & also a peace pipe in hand.
