Albumen Cabinet Card Photo: Long Feather - Sioux, by D. F. Barry of Bismarck, Dakota Territory. He wears a fringed and beaded buckskin jacket, a single hair feather, and crucifix, and he holds a catlinite pipe. There is some question whether Long Feather is actually Blackfoot and not Hunkpapa Sioux as identified by Barry, as he did come from Standing Rock in order to help bring in Northern Indians in hopes of peace talks in 1876. Barry's West Superior, Wisconsin studio imprint below image, and studio imprint verso with likeness of Chief Gall. From the estate collection of E.F. Mueller.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
