    Description

Abraham Lincoln Carte de Visite, 1863. 2.25" x 4". This image was originally taken by Mathew Brady and features the president only weeks after his first inauguration sitting as if in deep thought next to a small table which holds his silk stovepipe hat. On the reverse is the printed imprint of the publisher, E. Anthony of New York, who credits the photographic negative to Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Only minor stains.
