[Civil War Presidents]. Group of Two Beautiful Cartes de Visite of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln and Confederate President Jefferson Davis from Photographs by Mathew Brady. Lincoln is featured sitting in a full length studio portrait, affixed to an E. Anthony mount measuring 2.5" x 4", turned slightly to his left with his left arm resting on a table. His ubiquitous top hat sits on the table in front of him. A group of foxing spots is seen near the upper right corner of the image and the upper and left edges of the mount shows light staining.

Lincoln's adversary, President Jefferson Davis, is seen in a familiar chest up studio portrait, also mounted to an E. Anthony mount measuring 2.5" x 4", wearing a dark coat, light shirt, and bowtie, looking off to his left, circa 1861. Staining at the upper and right edges of the mount does not appear to affect the image.

Both images were removed from a soldier's photograph album.
