    U.S. 48-Star Flag That Flew Over Bedloe's Island/Statue of Liberty. 93" x 55" wool 48-star flag (8 x 6 row pattern), canvas hoist/sleeve inscribed "Statue of Liberty (Bedloe's Island)". Rope suspension loops. Scattered light stains/soiling. Fraying at fly end. Sold with Flag Heritage Foundation inventory sheet and 1952 "gift" letter from the United States Department of the Interior. From the Dr. Clarence R. Rungee Collection.
