    Description

UNOPENED MICHAEL JORDAN ROOKIE PACKS. His arrival in the NBA from the Tarheel Campus was a celebrated event rivaling that of UCLA's Alcindor. However, the careers of both are now cast in history's register, and Michael Jordan is now universally adjudged the greatest cager of all time. Why neither of these two offered packs were ever opened is a delightful mystery. The first of these is an unopened 1985 Nike 5-"poster" set - including Jordan, while the other is an unopened '86 Fleer pack. The former is NM/MT, measures a little more than 3" x 5" and remains in its original shrink wrap. The latter has been authenticated by Global and assessed NM-MT 8. From that issue, the Michael Jordan sticker card (#8 of 11) is visible from the reverse.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
