    Description

United Confederate Veterans [U.C.V.] Reunion Badges.
Extensive collection of thirty-seven [37] tokens, ribbons, badges, celluloid buttons and novelties issued in conjunction with U.C.V. reunions and events. The celluloid novelties include a Winnie Davis canteen, Robert E. Lee shield from the 1900 conference in Louisville (duplicates), a swallow-tail ribbon from Mobile 1910 and a swallow-tail ribbon from Norfolk 1910 (vertical split, but neatly repaired). There are four celluloid pinbacks from Louisville 1905 (fair condition), Memphis 1901 (stains) and Memphis 1909. There are three ribbons, the earliest being one that depicts Gen. J. B. Gordon, issued for the first convention of the U.C.V. at Chattanooga 1890. There are thirteen generic two-part brass souvenir badges issued for various events. There are four badges from Dallas 1902, six from New Orleans 1903, etc. Other sites include Louisville, Richmond, Birmingham and Memphis. Four items post-date 1920. All others date from 1895-1910. It would take many years to replicate this grouping, even if possible.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
