    Description

    Smash Racism Student Rally Poster.
    18.5" x 25.25"
    [Boston]; [1970]

A rally poster featuring the image of a black fist alongside a white fist. The rally time is marked for 4:30 on Wednesday (no date) at the Statehouse. On verso, written in pencil, reads "May 21 / 1st but will be for FRI".

During the student strikes of 1970, many university groups produced their own posters. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) acted as a propaganda and poster production center for the strikers from May 4 until June. These silkscreen posters were produced in limited quantity; some designs only had one or two copies while others were made in 25-35 copy batches.

Condition: Dampstaining at the vertical edges, with light soiling and wear to the corners.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
