The handsome and ornate silver-mounted parade saddle, having an engraved horn with roped central panel overlaid with an image of a detailed copper-alloy bronc rider and bronco. All silver work hand done in Western style by R. Schaezlin & Sons of San Francisco c1940. Engraved silver swells and front frame over throat. Floral stitched seat, the cantle rim appliquéd with engraved silver cap, the back of cantle with engraved riband with roped oval panel overlaid with gold letters: DMR. Front of seat with ovoid escutcheon reading: Nolte-Olsen/MAKERS/San Francisco, Calif. [overlaid with horseshoe motif and copper alloy horse head]. Floral hand-tooled saddle skirts and fenders, overlaid with silver diamonds and spots, all engraved en suite. Roped circular rosettes with copper alloy horse heads on corners. Wooden stirrups have outer stirrup covers that are silver-mounted. Accompanying bridle and breast collar are profusely decorated in similar manner. Bit is stainless steel and has engraved flexible cheek pieces and grazing bar. A fine, three-piece silver-mounted saddle and ensemble. Condition: Fine with light age wear. Small dent to silver on left swell.
