    Description

    PAYNE STEWART FRAMED AUTOGRAPH.

In October of 1999, the nation was mesmerized in tragic empathy as the news unfolded.  Pending doom awaited Payne Stewart as his chartered Lear jet wandered aimlessly in the American Mid-west, its cabin pressure now neutralized, and the fate of pilot and patrons was hopelessly sealed.  Stewart, the amiable veteran, had recently captured victory in the U.S. Open, and his career seemed poised to revitalize.  He embraced the spirit of the game as was evidenced by his fashionably signature knickers, which he sported on the links.  A decade earlier - June 1987, to be precise - he was featured on the cover of Golf, and one admiring fan solicited his autograph for posterity.  Thereon, in black Sharpie, there appears his signature - in a quality of 8 (due only to varied background color).  The NM/MT publication's cover is now handsomely framed to a dimension of 17" x 20".  Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
