Pair of Reward Posters. This lot has two reward posters or circulars. One example is 8.75" x 11.25" and offers a $100 reward for the apprehension of Lee Hilsinger, a cashier at Wells, Fargo & Company's Express in Paterson, New Jersey. He absconded with $3,500 of company funds on June 12, 1900. There are two Wells Fargo stamps from Jersey City and San Francisco. Penciled in towards the upper left corner are the names of "J B Hume" (famous Wells Fargo chief of Detectives) and "A Christensen" (Wells Fargo manager in San Francisco). The other poster is 8.25" x 11". It was issued by Wells, Fargo & Company Express in San Francisco on February 22, 1908. It offers a $300 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery of "... their wagon at Reno, Nevada, on the morning of February 17th 1908..." The swag included negotiable paper such as bank checks, watches and jewelry. There is light toning around three sides.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
