Oakland Alameda County Stadium, also known as Oakland Coliseum first opened in 1966 for football but accommodated baseball in 1968. It was constructed at a cost of 25.5 million with 1996 renovations totaling 200 million. Also nicknamed "The Black Hole" and "The Mausoleum", it was host to the Oakland Raiders and MLB's Athletics, who were brought to Oakland from Kansas City by owner Charlie Finley. The Coliseum has been home to some of the biggest names in baseball, including Reggie Jackson, Catfish Hunter and Rollie Fingers, all members of the mid-70's Oakland A's dynasty. History would repeat itself in the late 80's when the A's would produce three consecutive Rookie of the Year winners in Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco and Walt Weiss. Among historic events that occurred at this venue, Ricky Henderson broke Lou Brock's all-time stolen base record. We offer to you seat #9 which just happened to be Reggie Jackson's early A's uniform number!! It is constructed of orange plastic and aluminum and is 100% original. It is unrestored and fully functional, with both rear mounts completely intact. Overall is rates a VG condition.   Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.

You reach a customer base that is in many ways completely unknown to the major auction houses, and your marketing to this base is as professional as one could hope for. As I continue to wind down my holdings.
