    Times and Seasons (Nauvoo, IL) dated June 1, 1844 Mormon Newspaper. 16pp., 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", disbound, fine. This early Mormon newspaper contains 6 columns of text reporting on the events that led to the imprisonment of Mormon leader Joseph Smith, and that would result in his murder on June 27, 1844 by a mob in Carthage, IL. This also contains an inside page political ad in support of GEN. JOSEPH SMITH for President of the US and Sidney Rigdon for Vice President. Very important Mormon history in a Nauvoo, IL newspaper. An exceedingly rare imprint.
