    National Intelligencer (Washington, DC) November 8, 1808: Earliest printing of President Jefferson's last State of the Union Address to Congress. 4 pp., 13" x 20". The Address was given at 12 noon on November 8, 1808 and this newspaper contains a broadside-like appearance on page 3, with banner headlines and text containing the complete "same day" printing of Jefferson's final State of the Union Address on that single page. This SOU contains Jefferson's comments on the "Chesapeake Affair", one of the incidents that would lead to the War of 1812. It also contains mention of US relations with the Native American Indians tribes as well as mention of the Barbary Wars. It is signed in type by "TH JEFFERSON / November 8, 1808." Rare earliest printing of Thomas Jefferson's LAST State of the Union Address.
