    Description

[Civil War] The Daily Picayune Newspaper. Vol. 28, No. 2, four pages, 16.5" x 22", New Orleans, January 27. 1863. The left half of the front page is filled with period advertisements while the right contains war news including: Gen. William T. Sherman's troops being stopped at Vicksburg, the arrival of Gen. James Longstreet at Shelbyville, Gen. Nathan B. Forrest's attack on relief ships on the Cumberland River, the army of Gen. Ambrose Burnside's skirmish with rebel cavalry, the Battle of Galveston, and more. An ad was clipped out of page three leaving a small hole and there is a tear running vertically from the bottom edge up to the horizontal fold crease. Vertical fold crease is weakened, but otherwise good.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
