    [Civil War] The Daily Picayune Newspaper. Vol. 26, No. 140, two pages, 16.5" x 22", New Orleans, July 8, 1862. Printed after the fall of New Orleans. Features general war news such as orders issued by General George B. McClellan, then in command of the Army of the Potomac and having just finalized the failed Peninsula Campaign, news from the Mormon church in Utah, tidbits out of Europe, period advertisements, and others. There is some foxing located throughout and some minor chipping along the bottom edges. Still in fine condition.
