Starring Nina Mae McKinney, Lawrence Criner, Monte Hawley, Mantan Moreland, and Reginald Fenderson. Directed by Leo C. Popkin, with story by Ralph Cooper.
With her lead role as Chick in director King Vidor's Hallelujah! (1929), the first all-black film, dancer Nina Mae McKinney got her start in Hollywood in a big way. Soon after, McKinney signed a contract with MGM, but for years she was given only minor parts, including Jean Harlow's dubbed singing voice in Reckless. She tried Europe next and had theatrical success there until the start of WWII, when she returned to Hollywood.
Condition: Flattened folds and creases, with light soiling at edges. Else very good.
