    Description

Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (Warner Brothers, 1953). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). This fabulous lobby card features the terrifying carnivorous dinosaur that as a result of an arctic nuclear test, thaws out and wreaks havoc down the East Coast of North America. This was the first of the 1950s giant creature features, and Ray Harryhausen's effects were brilliantly believable. The lobby card shows a tape stain on the verso, smudging in the borders, and a bottom right and top left corner bend. Careful restoration has replaced a missing piece out of the lower right side extending into the image by one half of an inch. There is a repaired 2.5" tear in the bottom of the card extending into the image and two staple holes in the image. This is a sensational find of what is the best card in the set. Very Good. From the Jerry Weist Collection.
