Mounted Photograph of Ulysses S. Grant. Measuring 14.5" x 11", Grant is seen in two phases of his life. The full length portrait on the left is Grant the president, standing with his hands behind his back, turned to his left. On the right, in a familiar three-quarter length portrait, stands Grant the general, taken in Philadelphia in May 1865. Here Grant faces the camera in full uniform, his left hand placed in the breast of his coat. On the verso is a 9.75" x 12" vignetted chest up portrait of Grant's daughter-in-law, Ida Marie Honoré, the wife of Col. Frederick Dent Grant.

The Grant image is affixed to a mount to an overall size of 17" x 14.25". A small chip can be seen at the left edge of the image near the lower left corner; left corner lightly soiled. Mount shows moderate soiling surrounding the image.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
