    Description

    MIKHAIL GORBACHEV SIGNED BALL.

In the perilously tense years of the Cold War, an astutely observant Dizzy Dean declared (by our paraphrase) that international harmony would be assured if we'd just give them Russian kids a bat and a ball.  And so, when Mr. Gorbachev did "tear down this wall," the world savored the greatest good news of the 20th Century.  Admittedly, baseball has yet to take root in the Motherland, but as an encouraging gesture, Gorbachev did in fact sign this OAL (Brown) ball on the sweet spot to a quality of 9-10.  (This is a great piece -- if for no other reason, we doubt that Reagan ever autographed a hammer or a sickle.)  Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
