Not just your garden variety no-hitter - this masterpiece was of the "nobody got on base" ilk.  It was the last day of the regular 1984 season, and Mike Witt faced the somewhat feeble Texas Rangers.  Nevertheless, this was major league competition, and Witt faced 27 batters, hurling a scant 97 pitches to record a perfect game.  From that event, this game used ball, an OAL (Brown), was secured.  And an exuberent Mike Witt scribed the pertinents, along with his autograph, on the side panel "Perfect Game 9/30/84 Cal. 1 Texas 0."  Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
