MEL OTT PLAY BALL CARDS. Though not professionally graded, the quality of the two different Play Ball cards available here is splendid. The first is #51 from the ‘39 issue. Minimally EX/MT, this one is wellcentered with a very clean image, and only light wear is evident at the corners. On its reverse there appears an extremely minor surface impurity at the upper left corner. Also offered is his rendering as #8 in the ‘41 issue. While this latter Play Ball production was characterized by poor register, this image is perfect. Centered 60/40, this card is EX/MT as well, with only light corner wear.
