    Description

Lincoln Assassination Newspapers: Four New York Weekly Times and one New York Times. All contain assassination news and are dated from one week to four weeks after Lincoln's April 14, 1865, assassination, except for the single issue of the New York Times, which is dated May 25, 1861. All are unopened and in near fine to fine condition.

    More Information:

Many of the news stories contain early assumptions about President Lincoln's assassins, including assumptions about the whereabouts of John Wilkes Booth, who was killed during his attempted capture on April 26. The newspapers also include interesting content on the early days of the Civil War, including the shocking news of one of the first casualties of the war.
