    Kimble County Promotional Circular Lettersheet. Single sheet (likely original a bifolium as the letter is incomplete), 5.75" x 9.5". Circa 1880s. At top: "Kimble County -- Her Products, Resources, & c." The circular lists the basic statistics of the county, factual and descriptive and closes with "General Remarks: Now in conclusion we will state that nobody need come to this county expecting to live without work, but industrious, enterprising men can improve their financial condition and secure comfortable homes among us... Land is worth $1 to $2 per acre. -- Junction City Clipper." The verso is a personalized letter sheet and is filled with the first page of an incomplete letter dated June 26, 1886 with news about his sheep and the weather.
    Condition: Flattened mail folds, toning with a few spots of foxing, and light soiling. Crease at top corner.
