    Description

John Henry Brown 1887 Election Broadside, "To the Voters of Dallas." One printed page, 8.5" x 11", Dallas, March 2, 1887. Brown seeks re-election as Mayor of Dallas, and speaks to the improvements and developments that have taken place in Dallas during his time in office. He even notes that "in the three years I have been but two days out of Dallas."

He concludes his campaign message: "In every way I have tried to represent Dallas for her best and highest interest in all assemblages of strangers among us; in a laborious correspondence scattered all over the Union, answering questions and giving statistics and other data to encourage capital, enterprise and labor to come among us,-a taxing labor beyond official obligations and unknown to the public."

Condition: Flattened folds, small spots of soiling on verso. Chipping at edges and corners has caused some paper loss; affects a minimal part of the text. Overall very fine.
