John F. Kennedy: Sailing Photographs, August 1962. Consists of 29 original vintage color photographs, 8" x 10", featuring the president with brother-in-law Peter Lawford and friend Paul "Red" Fay. One of President John F. Kennedy's favorite activities was sailing. Here he is pictured in two original color photographs aboard the US Coast Guard yacht Manitou off the coast of John's Island, Maine, on August 12, 1962, with friends, including his brother-in-law Peter Lawford. Also pictured in two photographs is Paul "Red" Fay, a close confidant of JFK dating back to his PT boat days during WWII and who served as the president's Undersecretary of the Navy. These are vintage photographs taken by Robert Knudsen, whose career as a White House photographer spanned five administrations. Also included is a black, three-ring government binder entitled "MAINE JOHNS ISLAND" containing 25 color photographs taken by Knudsen on July 25, 1962, including images of the island and house thereon. Sailing photographs are numbered on the back by Mr. Knudsen; John's Island photographs are numbered and date-stamped. Fine condition. From the Robert Knudsen Collection.

From the collection of Dr. Dean Rudoy.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
