    More Information:

Francis Lubbock (1815-1905), who later served as a Texas Civil War governor, was appointed by President Sam Houston as controller of the Texas Republic.

Moseley Baker (1802-1848), who moved to Texas in the early 1830s, was active in the Texas Revolution, claiming to have been the first to publically call for revolt against Mexico. He was wounded at the Battle of San Jacinto. As a politician in the Republic of Texas, he feuded with President Houston and called for his impeachment.

The Consolidated Fund of Texas was created by an act of the Texas Congress in June 1837 authorizing "the consolidation and funding of the public debt."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
