    Founding Fathers et al: Newspaper Obituaries. Eleven [11] newspapers with reports of the deaths of famous Americans, dating from 1793 to 1848. These include: 1) John Hancock in the October 19, 1793 issue of "The Weekly Museum" (minor loss at top left edge with library stamp at masthead). 2) John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in the July 11, 1826 issue of "The Statesman". 3) John Jay in the May 23, 1829 issue of "The Intelligencer". 4) Lafayette in the June 23, 1834 issue of "The Globe". 5) Lafayette in the June 20, 1834 issue of "The Sun". 6) & 7) Henry Knox in the November 7th and 18th 1806 issues of the "New England Palladium". 8) Henry Knox in the November 14, 1806 issue of the "Repertory". 9) Noah Webster in the June 3,1843 of thr "National Intelligencer" (owned by Rufus Choate). 10) Andrew Jackson in the July 5, 1845 issue of the Cincinnati "Chronicle". 11) John Quincy Adams in the February 24, 1848 issue of the "National Intelligencer".
